In the heart of Dunfermline, Bruce Street has seen many changes over the years, which echo the wider history of Dunfermline and Scotland. Mentioned as Collier Row in the Annals of Dunfermline in the 1400s it was renamed to Bruce Street in 1833 as the town began to expand through industrialisation and a growing population.
Produced in conjunction with the Great Place Scheme project in Dunfermline funded by National Lottery Heritage Fund, this short tour will take you through the history of the street, including two specially commissioned soundscapes!
